Meet Crystal! After being introduced to Pilates in 2002 when a rugby injury took her off the pitch, she was quickly impressed by the diversity of the practitioners in her weekly mat classes. She then became certified through Power Pilates in 2009, and shortly after trained in the barre method at Evolutions Body Clinic in Annapolis, MD. Continuing to broaden her knowledge and experience, Crystal received her 200-RYT certification through Carolina Yoga Companies. This fall, Crystal is pursuing her 85hr PYTT certification through The Prenatal Yoga Center.
While pregnant with her first child in 2017, Crystal received a specialty certification in Pre and Post Natal Pilates at Fusion Pilates in Asheville. She and her husband, Jason, welcomed their daughter in March of 2018. Their son followed just 15 months later, in June 2019. Crystal is teaching our Baby Wearing Barre classes and is thrilled to share her movement experiences with the community, particularly new mamas and mamas-to-be!
Yoga has been part of Jessica’s live life since 2009, after the birth of her second child. It has brought, flexibility, lightness on and off her mat in everyday life; teaching her to live life with love and in the moment. Her desire to delve deeper into her practice and share with others led her to complete her 220 hour training in Hatha Yoga at Evolution Yoga with Stacy Berry and Jonthan Miles in 2014. Her natural compassion and understanding for children prompted her to complete children’s yoga certification: Twist Kids Yoga with Mary Beth Bender and Shona Baldoni in 2019. Jessica would like to express her profound gratitude to her teachers for the opportunity and wisdom they have given and shared with her. In class Jessica brings a creative flow, nurturing, and playfulness to deepen the practice of yogis from the young to the wise. Outside the studio she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She can often be found enjoying nature through gardening and photography, or restoring her 1978 bug.
Katrina likes to keep her classes interesting. Even though they are traditional asana based, she incorporates new ways to explore the body, the mind, and her students’ perspectives on the poses in each class. She invites her students to learn more about their bodies as she is often learning something new and interesting and enjoys sharing and teaching it in a way that is applicable on and off the mat. She completed her 200 hr vinyasa teacher training in 2014 and since then has expanded her knowledge of the practice and the body every opportunity she has received. Among other intensive trainings, she has completed her prenatal training, a pelvic floor training with Leslie Howard, and completed her 500 hour Advanced Vinyasa Training with Rolf Gates in 2018. Katrina loves to share her passion and enthusiasm for yoga with others, including her husband and two young boys.
Growing up as a competitive swimmer, Lindsay decided to try yoga as a more grounding activity. She soon discovered that in addition to developing strength and flexibility, yoga also reduced her anxiety and did not contribute to migraine attacks as other intense workouts had done. With a passion for power, Lindsay received her 200 RYT training through Johnna Smith and Tanner Bazemore. It was during this time she discovered the practice of Ashtanga on which power yoga is based. Lindsay wants to grow yoga in her community and throughout the schools. She wants her students realize they are capable of anything on the mat! Her classes will help you attain the physical and mental body you have always wanted! In addition to teaching yoga she is a piano teacher, wife, and proud mother of two amazing boys!

Stefanie is a mom, wife, and owner of Tiny Blooms Yoga. She dabbled in yoga for years deepening her practice through prenatal yoga while pregnant with her daughter. It was after that time that yoga had a lasting impression on her life. New motherhood, both before and after birth, though a beautiful time, was one of the most challenging times of her life. Also one of the most isolating times. That's when she found yoga. She then went on to complete her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification with Melting Point Hot Yoga. With a life-long passion for children and a newly formed empathy for motherhood and all of its challenges (good & bad!) she quickly knew that these were the specialties in which she wanted to explore. She then went on to complete her 85 hr Prenatal Yoga certification through the Prenatal Yoga Center, and completed training in Children's Yoga through Twist Kids Yoga. In order to help bring more of a family centered approach to yoga in the Lake Norman area, she left a 15 year corporate career to open Tiny Blooms Yoga within the Blossom Tree Wellness collective. Understanding that motherhood can be very isolating, she opened the collective with that in mind. A place for new mothers to go to feel supported. To be accepted. And to find camaraderie as they navigate this new territory together.
